It’s Contest Give Away Time!

Ok everyone, Just in time for the holidays, It’s contest give away time…

From my Lil Beautique shop I am giving away this beautiful Elephant blanket and bib set. This set features a wonderful Ele Premiere Print blanket in grey with white elehants backed with white minky and 3 matching burp clots; grey and white chevron, white and grey elephants backed with white chenille.

All you have to do is leave a comment of your favorite Christmas memory!

As the holiday approaches it’s so easy to get wrapped up in the hustle and bustle of gift giving. Your best intensions become a mad dash to the mall to fight the crowds that leads to an over exhausted rude sales person with a scoul on her non-helpful face. Which then brings out the little bit of HumBug we were trying so hard to suppress.

So for now in this moment, forget all that, relax and think of that special little memorable moment at Christmas time that just always brings a smile to your face. I will start us off:

My favorite Holiday memory simple short and sweet… last year having all my girls and husband around our Christmas tree and watching their faces light up as they open their presents!

*Terms and conditions: one winner will be picked at random on Saturday December 15th at 5pm. Set will be shipped out Monday the 17th, just in time for the holidays. Winner will be notified by Anna (me). Must enter a comment to be entered into the contest give away.

My favorite holiday memory was our first Christmas in Atlanta. Our family came down from NH & stayed at our new home. It was actually a white Christmas which is pretty rare in GA!! I love playing hostess; we had so much fun.

What a fun give away! Ok…here is my entry!! =)
My favorite Christmas time was when I was a little girl. Every year all of my dad’s side of the family would get together on Christmas Eve. My family would dance, drink and stay up all night recalling all sorts of funny stories from the past. We’d open gifts in the wee hours of Christmas. Then go to bed with our bellies full and our hearts warm from giving gifts and sharing our time with one another. Those moments were so joyful and loving!! =) Now we are all a little too busy with our own lives, we lost a few family members to cancer =(, and I am all grown up now with a family of my own. I look forward to spending Christmas with my hubby and two girls for this holiday season!! This will be my youngest daughter’s 1st Christmas! I’m so excited to see her open her gifts and start some new family traditions of our own. =)

My favorite memory is of a REALLY white Christmas back in Connecticut (sorry dear children; this was before your time). There was so much snow, nobody dared on the road the day after. We dug our way out, and with our beat up Subaru managed to get to the local mountain to ski — with just a few other people, a handful really. As we drove, I could not see out of the windshield at all, only some tinkering lights left on from the night before. It was beautiful!

All of the Christmases from my childhood are a blur, but I remember clearly how much fun I had with my cousins from all over the country when we’d meet up every year at my grandparents’ house. More than the presents we hoped for, we were looked forward to being able to play together during the holidays. My cousin in California is closest to me in age, and we liked to play sideways seesaw on my grandmother’s stationary bike — she’d climb on one pedal and I’d get on the other, and we’d push ourselves and each other up and down.

So many of my cousins have had kids of their own now, and it makes my heart explode a little bit every time I see all of the kids in the new generation making similar memories together during the holidays.

So my favorite Christmas memory was when I was a little girl… We didn’t have much money one year, not enough for a tree… Let alone any gifts. Christmas Eve heard some honking of a car and it drive away… Opened the door to see a beautiful tree on the porch with a gift for me and each one of my sisters. You would’ve thought we won a million dollars… Puts things in perspective huh! It’s the little things in life:)makes you realize there are really good people out there and angels looking out for us! It was the best Christmas ever! Now everytime I get to go but a tree for my kids I realize how blessed we all are! Merry Christmas!

My favorite memorIES of Christmas is growing up in South Africa we had HOT Christmases. So I remember every Christmas all of my extended family coming to our house and all the cousins would swim and play outside all day long. For most Americans it’s so hard to imagine, because most of their special Christmases are when it snowed….but for me it is remembering the days when we cooked out, swam and played outside in the warm sun. :)
(I just received a beautiful baby blanket from a friend at my baby shower that she got from you on etsy. I was just looking you up to see your return policy because there are a few other materials I love a little more, but this one is definitely so beautiful and worth keeping! So after looking at your blog, I figured hey, maybe I would win this beautiful set!) Love it! Thank you for my beautiful blanket!

My favorite Christmas Memories are of when my children were young and watching their excitement they had for Christmas Morning. All our families coming over for Christmas Dinner and I never felt so happy as I have when that happened. I remember I always wanted a white Christmas and was disappointed if it didn’t happen. Now I live in Florida and, well I think I will see pigs fly before I see snow down here….lol. But when my family comes, the excitment is still there for me. I would love to get in on your giveaways too.
Thanks so much
